We’re Expecting BABY DRYDEN in November of 2014!!

I am so excited to share that Matt and I are expecting a sweet baby in November!!! We’ve been really wanting to have a baby for some time, and because I’m organized think things through way too much (or I’m OCD, whatever), we timed our pregnancy around our busy wedding season, so that I can continue to tell many wedding day stories for amazing couples this year! Since I’m due in November, I’m taking maternity leave from October 5th, 2014 through February 5th, 2015. In my maternity leave, I’ll photograph a handful of sessions as long as I feel up to it/can stand leaving my baby for a bit, but Oct 5- Feb 5 is the “no wedding zone.” It pains me to not book many weddings in October, but I want a buffer zone in case the baby decides to come early, or if it is just too crazy to haul my photographic equipment for 12 hours a day or so when I’m as big as a house. Couples who have already booked us for this upcoming wedding season should not be affected (unless there is some sort of emergency circumstance). I’m so grateful for a husband who straight up works his booty off so that I can have my dream job (owner and photographer of Fifth and Chestnut Photo Co., of course). I’m also thankful that, although owning my business comes with long days and a boatload of stress, I have the freedom to take the many breaks I’ve needed in my first trimester. And when I have our baby, I’ll be able to spend as much time as I feel is necessary with him/her. It makes me cry just thinking about it. I am very emotional right now, don’t mind me!

I’m not sure what I did to deserve to be where I’m at today with my business, and I’m not sure how I acquired such a hardworking, loyal and loving husband…but I sure am glad to be here! We absolutely can not wait to meet our baby – and OMG we are ready for Ben to have a sibling!
