I’m Jentry, the photographer behind Fifth and Chestnut. For over 18 years, I’ve specialized in senior portraits that feel elevated, expressive, and true to the person in front of my camera.
Photographing high school seniors is my passion & helping teens embrace their own confidence is my purpose. I truly adore capturing the memories of this incredible milestone for the seniors and their families that I work with.
Studies show a correlation between displaying children’s portraits on the wall and their self-esteem, and I believe portraits deserve to be seen and lived with. Displaying images in your home is a meaningful way to honor this season of life, and it is one of the reasons I care so deeply about creating artwork that lasts.

SENIOR SESSION LIKE?
A senior photo session with me is about more than getting a great photo of you smiling at the camera. When a senior is in front of my lens, it’s a total celebration of this transformative time as you step into adulthood and get ready to embark on your next adventure.
First, we start with prep and planning to make sure your dream senior session comes to life at locations that fit your style. Then, I book and schedule complimentary hair and makeup so your skin is glowing and your hair is perfectly styled.
I’ll never leave you worried about how to pose or what to do during our photoshoot because I will guide you throughout our time together with natural, effective posing prompts and movements to elicit genuine expressions within meaningful moments. I’l also take care of editing and retouching your portraits in the most natural way, so that a blemish doesn’t hinder your experience. And lastly, I’ll design archive-quality displays that will bring you joy for all-time.
You will have a great time during your session, leaning-in to your own confidence, which will grow and flourish in front of my lens & creative eye. The senior session itself will become a memorable and special part of your senior year.

Because this milestone is worth reliving through tangible displays (rather than getting lost in the social media void), I’ll personally walk you through how to display and treasure all of these incredible moments at an in-person Image Premiere.

One of my favorite parts of the experience is helping families do something meaningful with their portraits after the session is over. I help my clients create heirloom-quality albums and artwork so their portraits can be seen, enjoyed, and remembered for years to come. Instead of letting these moments disappear into the digital world, I guide you in choosing beautiful ways to display them in your home and truly live with them every day.
Northern Nevada has shaped so much of my artistic eye.
When I’m not photographing seniors, I’m usually outdoors with my family. I’m endlessly inspired by the contrast here – from mountain lakes
and alpine meadows to desert light and wide-open skies.
This appreciation and love of our area deeply influences how I plan and photograph my sessions.
