Stunning Winter Maternity Portraits in Reno at Callahan Park with Ice Queen Vibes
Okay…this session. OMG. First and foremost, it was an honor to work with Michelle, Jack and their sweet little boy JackJack again. I photographed their family last year; it’s just always the highest honor when a family chooses me for their portraits again and again! Secondly, these stunning winter maternity portraits in Reno with Ice Queen vibes are going to knock your socks off!! I will never get over how amazing these snowy maternity and family portraits are.
We had rescheduled our session already due to crazy Reno winter weather (such a problem in 2022 & early 2023 so far). On this day, it seemed like everything was going to be fine. However, the moment I arrived at our location, it began to snow lightly. But this family was so flexible and we all decided to just go ahead and shoot in whatever weather may come for as long as we could.
Luckily, I’ve been doing this for so long that I can easily get a full session’s worth of photos in 20-30 minutes if I truly have to. But we got a full hour in the snow anyway because of how laid back and flexible the Pratt family is. I want to make sure to say thank you to them here! Their dedication to going forward with this shoot and trusting me to get everything we need is what made it possible!
Snowy winter maternity portraits & family photos
For the first part of our session, the Pratt’s had a beautiful theme of plum, tan, green and black. Such a cute color combo that worked out GREAT with the contrast of the snowy landscape. We got such an amazing variety of shots in this first portion of our shoot, including family, child, couple’s AND solo maternity portraits.
For the second part of our session, Michelle had the MOST GORGEOUS blue dress, fur shawl and crystal headband. Like…UGH IT’S JUST SO PERFECT! Can you see the Ice Queen vibes?!
The snow started falling even harder during this part of our session. Luckily this was Michelle’s solo maternity portion of the shoot, so her sweet boy went with his Dad and their friend Kate to hang out in the warm car. Meanwhile, Michelle and I powered through in the elements!
You’ll see in the portraits below just how absolutely gorgeous this mama is in both of her stunning dresses. However, you HAVE to know that she is also so beautiful on the inside. She is kind, genuine and such an amazing mommy. She has also gone out of her way to shout me out on social media while sharing her portraits. I truly appreciate that from the bottom of my heart.
Congrats, Michelle, Jack and JackJack on the new addition to your family – I can’t wait to see you all soon <3
