Mt. Rose Chutes Portraits | Locations by Lake Tahoe Photographer
The Mt. Rose chutes area is a fantastic location for families and seniors. It’s great any time of the year EXCEPT late fall & winter, as we will not have access (when Mt. Rose is open). This spot is a little harder to get to (and a little bit of a hike), so make sure to wear some “walking” shoes to get there.
Examples of Portraits at Mt. Rose Chute Area
During Fall, the leaves turn orange and yellow, and there is a warm glow all around. In the Summer and late Spring, the foliage is lush and gorgeous. This area makes for grand, sweeping landscapes – adding so much beauty and interest to a wide portrait shot. I love shooting this area in the afternoon, when the sun is low and golden.
The Mt. Rose Chute area is in use during Mt. Rose’s winter operating hours, so the window to use this location is somewhat short…so if you love this location, make sure to book a Fall, late Spring or Summer session.
