Moon Rocks Family Portraits in Reno, NV by Reno Family Photographer
It was an honor to work with the Lane Family to capture amazing Moon Rocks family portraits at the beginning of summer! It was a stunning evening out at Moon Rocks. As we were driving up, there were storm clouds in the distance. Thankfully, the rain stayed far away and we proceeded with our shoot as anticipated. AND IT WAS PERFECT!
I had an absolute blast with these guys as we walked around Moon Rocks. There was only a little bit of wind here and there. Sometimes the afternoons in Reno can be super windy, as you may know. So I’m grateful it was mild!
Blues and Neutral Hues for Moon Rocks Family Photos
This family had the best color scheme for their wardrobe to mix with the lovely light color of the surrounding stone landscapes. I also loved the pop of yellow in the youngest child’s outfit. It all worked together so well!
The colors of the rocks around Moon Rocks are just so spectacular. I love all the textures and swirls of stone. And there are also lovely hills surrounding the entire area. It’s a photogenic place and this family looked so at-home there!
We did several combos of family groupings, making sure to get individual photos of each kid, too. It’s always a fun challenge to photograph kids spanning wide age ranges!
