Magical Moon Rocks Senior Portraits by Reno Senior Photographer
Wow – where do I even start with sharing about these magical Moon rocks senior portraits?! Skyler was so fun to photograph! A soccer star, dirt bike rider and such a fun and down-to-earth gal.
I’m so thankful for Skyler and her Mom, Amy, who helped plan this session with me and were so willing to venture around Moon Rocks in the dirt! Let’s dive into our session together!
Juxtaposition of Elegance & Desert Beauty
For our first set of these Moon Rocks senior portraits, Skyler wore the most incredible royal blue sequin dress. It was the most amazing juxtaposition between classic elegance and stark desert beauty.
In the shade, her gown sparkled so brilliantly. And in the sun, it was so bright and eye-catching, still. In either setting, the contrast and sparkle looked absolutely magical within the Moon Rocks landscapes.
Soccer Portraits
For our second set of portraits, Skyler wore two of her Sierra Surf soccer uniforms. She plays multiple positions so it was fun to showcase both uniforms and sets of skills she has!
Getting the action shots was such a blast, too. I literally laid down in the sand for those and asked Skyler to kick dirt right in my face – LOL. That’s the kind of thing I do “for the shot” and I honestly just can’t help it!
Dirt Bike Portraits
For our third set of portraits, Skyler broke out her super cool dirt bike. I LOVE the colors of her bike and her fun pants & boots. If you know me, you know that some of those are my favorite colors on earth!
We had so much fun exploring Moon Rocks together and I absolutely can’t wait to get out there again and photograph more teens, high school seniors and families in that GORGEOUS Nevada desert backdrop!
No matter a teen’s interest – I am always happy to incorporate them into our senior photoshoots. If it gets your teen to light up and express their personality, that’s what it’s all about.
Also I want to give a shoutout to Skyler for doing her own hair & makeup SO FLAWLESSLY…seriously, you are so talented!!
The last thing I want to mention in this blog post before I share the images was the feedback I received from Amy upon seeing Skyler’s gallery because this is what I LIVE FOR: “It was a great spot and in the pics it looks like we had it all to ourselves! You did an incredible job and are so fun to work with! I love how you captured Skyler’s many sides and her true personality.”
Thank you, Amy & Skyler <3
