Is it too late to take senior photos?
So you missed the popular summer or fall portrait season during your senior year,? And now maybe wondering “is it too late to take senior photos?” Let me skip to the point and answer that for ya. NO! You are NOT too late in taking your senior portraits. However, now IS the time to get your SPRING senior portraits SCHEDULED. Let’s dive into why:
Why schedule your SPRING portraits in late fall or winter?
The number one reason to schedule your Spring senior portraits is because if you wait until March or after spring break to schedule your photographer, you may not be able to book with THE photographer you really want. The best senior photographers in Reno are typically booked for senior spring sessions by early March, if not earlier. However, don’t be too discouraged if you’re also reading this blog post when it’s already spring. Maybe a photographer you love can squeeze you in, so don’t be afraid to ask. It definitely can’t hurt to try!
Blossoms and Spring weather
Some seniors even prefer to book their session in spring rather than fall of summer because they want those beautiful spring blossoms we get in the Reno/Tahoe area. And sometimes seniors are super busy in the fall with sports and activities, so Spring might just be better timing for them.
Additionally, when seniors have missed the fall season, they often choose to skip winter sessions due to temperatures and weather issues. That is, unless they are a true winter-lover who enjoys winter sports and all that comes with the snowy season. Like…snow!
As such, my schedule does get very heavy in the springtime! The reason I want everyone to be aware of WHEN to schedule their portraits is so they don’t miss out on getting the BEST senior portraits of their dreams with the BEST photographer of their choice. So think well ahead and get your session scheduled with your photographer of choice. Contact me now if that photographer is me đŸ™‚
