Galena Senior Portraits of Lacrosse Player and Skier by Reno Senior Photographer
I photographed JJ’s family quite a few years ago, so I was honored when JJ’s mom asked me to create his senior portraits. Although snow is always *ahem* fun to work around during a session, it was actually AMAZING for Galena senior portraits of JJ. He plays Lacrosse and is also a skier. How perfect, right?
Lacrosse Senior Portraits at Callahan Park
First, we did some family portraits of JJ’s 6 siblings, mom and stepdad (special blog post just about those coming soon). After, we stayed at Callahan park to take some high-desert forest portraits by the creek. Then we used the open space to capture his Lacrosse player side! The snow was intermittent at this point. Even so, I was still impressed that JJ was willing to wear his Galena Lacrosse uniform in those conditions! JJ is an amazing lacrosse player and you can really tell how passionate about it he is.
Ski Themed Senior Portraits at Galena Creek Park
When we finished up at Callahan Park, we drove up to Galena Creek Park to get some ski themed senior portraits in. It was so perfect with the heavy snowfall at that location. Not ideal for being warm or dry. However, it was ideal to set the scene for some skier senior portraits!
The best thing about there being so much snow this winter and spring season is that JJ could actually get on his skis for these portraits. The snow was still knee-deep in some areas. I’m thankful that I have really great snow boots myself!
Want to know something funny? I had been WISHING to do a ski-themed senior portrait this season and JJ’s mom reached out to me at the PERFECT time. I was also so happy to photograph their family at an important time for them <3
