Casual and Classy Senior Photos in Reno and Carson of Max – Headed to Yale!
I just adore Max’s casual AND classy senior photos in Reno and Carson! He had such a perfect blend of outfits, ranging from casual to classic with a touch of elegance. And his family was so awesome and helpful with our spring shoot, too! I always love when moms get involved with holding my reflector. They become part of the photo process which is so fun!
First Stop: Caughlin Ranch
Caughlin Ranch is always a great location for spring senior portraits, and since this is close to home for Max, it was even better!
The ponds were beautiful and the afternoon light was stunning. I really loved Max’s blue linen button-up. His burnt orange jacket was an excellent addition to change up his look at the ponds, too! It was fun getting to know Max and his mom Amy as we began to shoot here. Some of my FAVE images from his session were taken on one of my favorite bridges in the whole Reno area đŸ™‚
Second Stop: Cactus Jack’s
We all got a great laugh at Cactus Jack’s on stop number two for Max’s senior session as I tried to grab some photos across the very busy main street! Have you ever tried yelling poses out to someone across a highway? That’s kind of what we did LOL.
Cactus Jack’s is a very cool retro building in Carson City, and I LOVED IT! Max’s jacket was even more amazing at this location, and we had a lot of fun in a short time span here. I had never really paid much attention to good ol’ Cactus Jack the many times I’ve driven through Carson, but now I’ll make sure to give a wave as I pass by next time. He is a fun character and I’m glad we incorporated the casino into Max’s photos.
Last Stop: The Nevada Capitol Building
Our last stop for these senior photos was the Nevada Capitol Building. The amazing architecture here is simply rad. And the landscaping and scenery is just an overall win! Plus, the amazing shade from the mature trees is a nice relief on hot spring evenings!
Max’s blue suit and red tie were perfect here, and his outfit definitely looked very classic and professional.
Please wish Max lots of luck at Yale! Max, I hope you have an amazing summer here in Reno before you head off to college, and thanks again for allowing me to photograph you!
