Award-Winning Reno Senior Photographer Fifth and Chestnut Named Senior Style Guide 2024 Hot 100 Recipient & Community Choice Award Winner
Extremely exciting news today!! I’ve been selected as a 2024 Hot 100 recipient in the annual global Senior Style Guide competition AND the winner of a Community Choice Award voted on by other incredible photographers across the world. What a serious honor – I’m shook! To be an award-winning Reno senior photographer and have these awards added to my accolades is a dream come true.
This officially means that my work is among the absolute TOP in the worldwide senior photography industry. To be featured among so many insanely talented photographers is a total dream. This competition is something that has led me to push myself continuously. To create work that uniquely stands out beautifully for my amazing clients. You all are who I do everything for!!
Winning Images of Real Reno Seniors
For my Hot 100 award, the winning image was of Chartreuse in the SOOC (straight out of camera) category – which is even more of an accolade because getting things right IN camera without relying on editing truly is an art all on its own. My winning image that got the Community Choice Award shows some serious Nevada pride with Sumiah and her absolutely rad shoe collection. Both students are on my Class of 2025 Senior VIP Team and I’m so excited that their images are now award-winners…especially because they were a complete part of the creative and collaborative process to create these portraits! Way to go, girls.
Furthermore, these images of are REAL Reno seniors. Not styled shoot images. Not an image that wins just because of an elaborate scene or fancy dress. Just REAL seniors showing their REAL personalities.
Thank you to the amazing judges Carissa Davis, Lacey M Carroll and Twig Road Photography for the hours you all poured into judging the whopping 6,664 images submitted, and to the creator of Senior Style Guide Vickie Black for this opportunity. And thanks to all the anonymous photographers who also voted for my image in the community choice awards.
If my mama was here, you better believe I’d be calling her today to share in this joy. She once said to me “I don’t know how I raised such an ambitious daughter” when I was hustling hardcore and diving into entrepreneurship. I think she’d be proud.
