Keegan’s South Lake Tahoe Senior Photos at Tallac Historic Site & Kiva Beach

January 22, 2026 in Senior Portraits

Keegan’s South Lake Tahoe senior photos were one of those sessions that felt extra meaningful from the very beginning. Not only was he graduating high school, but I have been photographing his family for years, which made this session feel like a full circle moment in the very best way.

I first met Keegan when his mom, Sam, and Steven got engaged. Since then, I have photographed their wedding and multiple family portrait sessions, so seeing Keegan step in front of my camera as a high school senior was incredibly special. Time really does fly.

A Classic Start at Tallac Historic Site

We started Keegan’s senior session at the Tallac Historic Site, which is one of my favorite locations for senior photos in South Lake Tahoe. The rustic buildings, wooden staircases, and surrounding forest gave us the perfect backdrop for a timeless and relaxed feel.

Keegan kicked things off in a classic, casual outfit: a blue shirt paired with jeans. This look felt effortless and confident and photographed beautifully against the warm wood tones and shaded forest paths. He was comfortable, natural, and completely himself, which always sets the tone for a great senior session.

From there, we switched things up with one of my favorite outfits of the day: a flannel layered with a vest, jeans, and cowboy boots. This look brought in a little western flair and fit the Tallac setting perfectly. It added variety while still staying true to Keegan’s style.

Meaningful Details and Personal Style

One of the things I loved most about Keegan’s session was how personal it felt. He incorporated his baseball gear and a football, which added a fun and meaningful touch to his senior photos. These details tell the story of who he is right now, at this exciting point in his life.

After that, Keegan changed into another flannel and jeans combo for a slightly different vibe before finishing the session by returning to his original outfit. That full-circle wardrobe moment felt intentional and symbolic, especially knowing how long I have known his family.

Sunset at Kiva Beach and Family Photos

As the light softened, we headed to Kiva Beach for the final part of Keegan’s South Lake Tahoe senior photos. The sandy shoreline, calm water, and golden evening light created such a peaceful and beautiful atmosphere.

This part of the session also included family photos, which made the evening even more special. We captured images of Keegan with his brother and sister, along with full family portraits. We also took some sweet couple’s photos of Sam and Steven, which felt like a nod to where this photography journey with their family began years ago.

Watching this family laugh together and celebrate such a big milestone was incredibly heartwarming. These are the moments that remind me why I love what I do.

A Full Circle Senior Session

Keegan’s senior session was about more than just photos. It was about growth, memories, and celebrating how far he has come. I am so grateful to have been a small part of this family’s story over the years and to now capture this exciting chapter for Keegan.

Thank you, Keegan, Sam, and Steven, for trusting me once again. Photographing your South Lake Tahoe senior photos was truly an honor.
