I was so honored to be chosen to create these Sand Harbor maternity photos and document the sweet time between newly-wedded bliss and parenthood for Lauren and Ryan. They are expecting a baby girl together and I am so excited for them to meet her soon. And even more excited to photograph her as a newborn! They are keeping the name a secret, so I’m also excited to find out what they have chosen. Lauren and Ryan are so awesome and I’m glad they selected Sand Harbor in Incline Village as the location for their maternity photos. It was a beautiful, sunny and warm Spring day. The water was it’s usual incredible aqua-emerald-blue color, and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky – an absolutely perfect afternoon for photos.
Lauren described herself in her emails to me as a girly girl who loves “all things that sparkle and shine,” so I was SO looking forward to seeing her wardrobe and prop choices for her maternity photoshoot – and of course she picked the cutest casual wardrobe & giant pink and white balloons with custom-made streamers she made herself, and the most feminine teal & pink dress for her second wardrobe choice.
If I had to be a dress, Lauren’s pretty teal and pink dress would be the one. I’m not even joking – it’s so beautiful and it was absolutely perfect for her Sand Harbor maternity photos. Lauren also made the cutest collar, ever, for their doggie, Harriet – who was a great puppy subject during our shoot, too.
Congrats to this family of 3 (including Harriet, of course) – I can not WAIT to meet the new princess!

What a gorgeous expecting mama! Love her style and Sand Harbor looks like it was the perfect location for their maternity session. I think it’s awesome they included their dog too – so cute!
What a gorgeous maternity session! I just love the one with the sparkling ocean in the background. The ones with the family shoes is adorable too. Can’t wait for this mommy to be to have her little girl in her arms!
I love the colors of this Sand Harbor maternity session! Her wardrobe and prop choices paired perfectly together and resulted in amazing images I’m sure they’ll treasure forever. I’m looking forward to seeing Miss Harriet’s newborn photos!
I love these maternity photos from Sand Harbour! I love how bright and vibrant the colours are in the water and her outfit, which is super cute! They look very excited to be welcoming their baby girl soon!
Sand Harbor looks like an ideal spot for a maternity session! Congratulations to this lovely couple. These images are perfect and I bet they are over-the-moon happy with them 🙂

[…] Anyway, back to adorable baby Lina – her nursery is SO beautiful and when Marshi sent me the photos of it, I pulled lots of gray and pink items from the prop/backdrop stash….including a GORGEOUS floral headband by Lavender Gray Designs. It worked perfectly with our gray pleated backdrop and our rosy pink and white textured backdrop, too. We also used a pretty little vintage crate, a gray flokati rug, and some other miscellaneous textured items…like a beautiful pink ruffled blanket. I’m so excited to share my favorites from Lina’s newborn session with you today. And please remember, if you’re on the hunt for a Reno Newborn Photographer, I’m your gal!
